Managing Director, art + event | Theaterservice Graz GmbH
Wolfgang Hülbig studied Business Administration with a focus on Marketing under Prof. Scheuch and Economics and Corporate Management under Prof. Hoffmann at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
From 1989 Wolfgang Hülbig worked as Product Manager at Unilever Austria and had product responsibility for brands of Kuner Austria. At the end of 1990 he was headhunted by the international advertising agency Young & Rubicum as Client Service Director Austria for international brands such as Adidas, Johnson&Johnson, BMW, Suchard-Milka, Raiffeisen Versicherungen, Colgate, Giro Credit and many more. He was also responsible for New Business.
At the end of 1992, Wolfgang Hülbig became Head of Marketing & Sales at Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW). After working as CMO – Board Member for Programming, Marketing and Sales at Stella Entertainment AG in Hamburg in 2001, he was brought back to Vienna at the end of 2002 by Vereinigte Bühnen Wien as Director of Marketing, Sales & International Licensing, where he also became an authorized signatory of VBW and was able to contribute his international contacts. In 2002, he also became a shareholder/partner at Starlight Express in Bochum. In 2010 he left Vereinigte Bühnen Wien as an independent producer for exhibitions, musicals and entertainment projects for VBW, bb-Promotion, Mehr Entertainment, EMS Live Entertainment, MGM, and with productions in Vienna, St. Petersburg, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Singapore and many more.
Wolfgang Hülbig has been Managing Director of art + event | Theaterservice Graz GmbH since 2015 and manages the nationally and internationally successful decoration and costume workshops. The topic of sustainability has been an important component of his management since the beginning of his work in Graz, culminating in the establishment of a sustainability competence center.
art + event | Theaterservice Graz GmbH has actively and professionally supported the RING AWARD for many years, and Wolfgang Hülbig has been a member of its Board of Directors since 2024.
