We mourn the loss of Jörg Koßdorff, an outstanding stage designer, long-time Technical Director and Artistic Director of Oper Graz. Jörg Koßdorff was in the jury of the very first “International Competition for Stage Direction and Design” (1997) and chaired the jury twice during his time as Artistic Director of Oper Graz, for RING AWARD 05 and RING AWARD 08, which enabled Tobias Kratzer (designated Artistic Director of Staatsoper Hamburg) and Rainer Sellmaier to leap into the limelight. He was a visionary, a tireless supporter of emerging talent and a valued supporter of the RING AWARD. His commitment and dedication to art have left a lasting mark on the Styrian cultural landscape.
