General Manager Teatr Wielki Poznań
Renata Borowska-Juszczyńska has been General Manager of the Poznań Opera House since 2012. She served as a Board Member of Opera Europa from 2016 to 2022 and as jury member for the FEDORA Digital Prize, Premio Cantelli, 10th and 11th edition of the European Opera-Directing Prize organized by the Camerata Nuova Association, 73rd AsLiCo Competition 2022, and the International Singing Competition (Meistersinger) in Nürnberg 2022. She was also decicive in the organisation The International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition.
As General Manager of Poznań Opera House, she makes every effort to disseminate S. Moniuszko’s works in Poland and abroad – “Paria” staged by G. Vick and “Jawnuta” staged by I. Lanzino were awarded an International Opera Award in 2021 and 2023 respectively in the category “Rediscovered Work”. Renata Borowska-Juszczyńska was invited by the Opera Europa Association and the Opera America Association to participate in the World Opera Forum in Madrid (2018) and in Los Angeles (2024). She founded the Nuova Foundation, and is organiser of its Spring Festival, focusing on different presentations of “Le Sacre du printemps” (1997-2003). Under her auspices Poznań Opera House participated in the OperaVision project. Concert performances of “Halka” (2019), “Paria” (2023), and “The Haunted Manor” (2024) presented at the Berlin Philharmonic and recordings of “Halka” and “Paria” are acclaimed by the Naxos Record company.
